We are now selling a new line of hooks from ADDYA! Currently we have Octopus Hooks, Baitholder Hooks in black chrome and bronze!
As opening day rapidly approaches, it's time to get your gear in order. Bring your reels in for fresh line, check over your tackle boxes or just stop in for coffee!
The winter produced no ice to speak of so we are hoping for an early spring! Opening day of fishing in CT starts on the second Saturday of April! Now is the time to start getting ready!
Fluke fishing has finally been getting hot! Our friends at the Lucky Lady Party/Charter Boat have been reporting some nice size fish on their trips. The weather is good, its time to fish. Try out our fluke rigs - pink or white are the colors of the day!
Our traditional opening day weekend has started out very wet! But, we have dedicated fishermen that are braving the weather! CT has restocked in some areas so there are trout ready to be caught!
It's Monday after opening day and many schools are out on vacation - hopefully some of them are fishing!
Today has turned out beautiful - the ice is gone, the temp is over 60 and there is minimal wind! The down side is that the currents are running fast - patience is required! Size small shiners, night crawlers and meal worms are the baits of choice - very little artificial baits are being bought. Tight lines everyone!
Opening Day is tomorrow and there is still ice on some of the major ponds and lakes - no one really understands the logic of moving opening day up a week - why break a decades old tradition? Somehow money must be involved for the state but tackle shops will be losing again!!!
Opening day has been moved this year from the third Saturday to the second Saturday of April. Sad part is we still have ice and snow and quite a few areas will not be open or accessible. One more week would make a difference. But, we are ready with bait, tackle etc!
Its time to get your reels and rods ready for the spring! Bring them in for cleaning!
